It will also provide experience using the ANSYS platform. A mesh created for Finite Elements possesses a tetrahedral, a pyramid, hexahedra, or a prism. For this study, the hexahedra is used. The mesh for the beam consists of rectangles and triangles. (See attachment) The Bending moment was as expected for the size of the slab. The deflection was also in a normal range. When the beam bends, it loses its original shape and develops internal stress. Compression occurs inside the curve of the beam; and tension occurs on the outer side. In the past, testing the density of materials was much more complicated. Technology has broadened the capabilities for engineers to analyze stress and the composition of materials.
